Tuito is a small sleepy town located south of Puerto Vallarta, often missed by tourists where time seems to have stopped.

It´s vernacular architecture of adobe walls, clay tile rooftops and ochre yellow facades makes it a great place where to capture interesting images of rural Mexico.


       HIGHLIGHTS

       WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Capture the daily activity that unfolds every morning in downtown and surrounding streets.
  • Street life, people and architecture are among the things you can capture in this PhotoWalk.
  • Get useful composition photography tips from your PhotoWalk Leader.
  • Learn how to adjust the ISO, shutter speed and aperture settings and how to make the most out of it.
  • We´ll be riding a local bus to live this experience the way many locals do. The ride takes 45 minutes.
  • Once there we´ll have brunch at a local eatery.

Starts at: 8:00 am. Please arrive 20-15 minutes in advance.

Meet up place: Santa Cruz Church in Old Town.

What to bring: Camera and all the gear you would like to use. Pocket change. Hat and sunscreen. Comfy shoes and clothing.  Remember to bring your memory card(s) and a fully charged battery.

HOW WE´LL GET THERE

Buses to Tuito depart every 30 minutes. We´ll meet just one block away from the bus stop at 7:40 am at the entrance of the Holly Cross Church ( Iglesia de la Santa Cruz) in Old Town.

Bus fair is about $30 pesos each trip. You can also take a taxi or Uber.

We´ll take the 8:00 am bus (please note this bus can depart 5 minutes before or after 8:00am) and we´ll arrive just in time to have breakfast at a local family owned and run eatery in downtown Tuito.

Once we finish breakfast between 9:30 and 9:45 am, we´ll spent 3 hours walking downtown, sorrounding streets and nearby church.

We´ll return on the 1:00 pm bus. If you wish to stay longer you can do so or join us on our way back to Puerto Vallarta. Last bus returns at 5pm.

If you wish, you can visit the Botanical Gardens after the PhotoWalk which opens from 10:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs. Entrance fee is $150 pesos/person. Visit their website here.
